Peggy Henderson MacDonald, 1947. Daughter of Lew and Alice Henderson. Born on the lot during the tent show performance. Reported in Billboard and Glenwood, MN newspaper social column. Over 50 years as a performer. 84 years ago today she would have been on stage in Chester, Iowa. Maybe I'll post the articles on Facebook.

MS. HENDERSON: What show was Peggy born on? It was a privilege to have known her and to have visited her 3 times in New Braunfels. She introduced me to Emil and Hanna Pallenberg, and the jackpots were memorable.

Hi, Peggy was born in Glenwood, Minnesota while Lew Henderson, our Dad,was playing there with his Henderson Comedy Company, medicine show. He had worked for and bought out J.J. Holmes, Clifton Comedy Medicine show in Iowa in 1917. He moved it into Minnesota in 1921 and renamed it The Henderson Comedy Company. I have the Glenwood mention, and the Pipes for Pitchmen article from Billboard. I can post then on Facebook. It's a long story. Dad was an entertainer for almost 60 years, Peggy for over 50. I tell some of it on Lew Henderson Players Web Page.
